Finalist Yen-Hsun Lu returns to Auckland
Last year’s runner-up, Yen-Hsun "Rendy" Lu of Taipei, makes his return to Auckland this week, taking on Argentina’s Juan Monaco tonight.
Last year Lu defied expectations by stopping four-time Heineken Open champion, David Ferrer in the semi-final, before taking on American giant, John Isner in the two tiebreak set final.
The 31-year-old, ranked 46 in the world, finished his 2014 campaign with 24 match wins and is coming off his third career ATP doubles title in Chennai on Sunday. Lu and Monaco have played each other once before, with Monaco taking the win.
