Day four action awaits

American young guns Sofia Kenin and Amanda Anisimova both feature in the day session for the fourth day of the ASB Classic. Young Kenin started 2018 ranked outside the top 100 and was given a wildcard to this event, she now sits at 52 and sent 4th seed Petra Martic packing in the first round. The 20-year old will open the day against Viktoria Kuzmova.

Pick of the day session would have to be Anisimova against 5th seed Barbora Strycova. Anisimova is one of the most promising teenagers on the tour, is the youngest player ranked inside the top 100 and is looking to continue her rise this season.

Defending Champion Julia Goerges then takes the centre court for doubles to finish off the day session.

The stars come out in the night session with Venus Williams playing against another former ASB Classic Champion Lauren Davis before top seed Caroline Wozniacki takes the court against Canadian qualifier Bianca Andreescu.

38-year old Williams showed her class in her first-round clash against Victoria Azarenka, the highly anticipated match lived up to expectations with Williams getting over the line but tomorrow’s another day and she’ll need to bring it again against hard hitting American Lauren Davis.

With Venus Williams and Caroline Wozniacki back to back on centre court, it will truly be a night to remember!
