Community Activations

The ASB Classic is proud to announce two key community activations being hosted in Tāmaki Makaurau, Auckland this summer.

We're on a mission to change the perception of what tennis is, and want to empower all people to participate.

Some of the world biggest tennis stars will be out in our community, meeting everyday Aucklanders and sharing in their love of tennis.

 

Community Tennis Club Visit

One lucky local tennis club will have the opportunity to mix it with one of our featured players from the Women’s ASB Classic.

Local tamariki and rangatahi will have some exclusive time with the player to ask them what it takes to make it as a pro. This is a chance for a grassroots community club in the heart of Auckland to host a global superstar in their own backyard!

Inclusive Tennis Day

Partnering with organisations from across the disability sports sector, including Paralympics NZ, Halberg Foundation, Disability Sport Auckland, Blind Low Vision NZ, Blind Sport & Wheelchair Tennis NZ we are delivering a unique opportunity for Aucklanders from across the disability community to take part in tennis activities.

This is designed as a fully adaptive event open to disabled Aucklanders of all needs and abilities. This session will be an opportunity for anyone with physical, intellectual, or visual impairments to experience tennis in a safe, fun, and friendly way.
